Adams: Land in farms

This indicator shows the total amount of farmland, as well as the average and median size of farms The median size of farms is the size at which half of all the farms are smaller and half are larger. A larger median size of farms indicates that there are more large farms.
 
In Adams in 2017:
  • there were 163,054 acres in farmland,
  • the average farm size was 703 acres,
  • the median farm size was 93 acres, and
  • the amount of farmland increased 9 percent from 2007 to 2017.
