Here we report the number of business establishments with paid employees.
 
In Idaho in 2015, there were 44,757 business establishments. This is an increase of 3 percent since 2010, when there were 43,450 business establishments. This compares to an increase of 4 percent in the U.S. during the same period. 
 
Of Idaho's 44,757 business establishments in 2015:
 
  • 57 percent had between 1 and 4 employees,
  • 19 percent had between 5 and 9 employees,
  • 13 percent had between 10 and 19 employees,
  • 8 percent had between 20 and 49 employees, and
  • the remainder had 50 or more employees.

· Is the percentage of establishments by number of paid employees similar to or different than the state or nation?

Look at other indicators:

· “Employment: Unemployment rate” – Is the change in number of establishments increasing as unemployment rates decrease (e.g., is business growth alleviating unemployment)?
